r/Scams – I applied to Yodel 2 weeks ago and they got back to me…

They asked me a few questions like if I want full or part time and what vehicle and car do I have and how old am I, then they asked me to send £36 to their santander bank account then after let them know and they’ll proceed with the application and then to pass along ID like driving licence, bank statement, national insurance etc. They said it’ll be reimbursed once I’ve worked 2 weeks full time or 4 weeks part time.

At first it striked me as kinda sus as its usually the companies who pay for the DBS and usually talk either over the phone or by email.

They said they are DCD Transports (Yodel) instead of just Yodel. The bank account they put down is DCD Transports too. Not sure if that has anything to do with it?

I’ve never worked for them so I’m not sure if this is the way they go about it.
