Written by I lost my wallet on the train yesterday, its got two debit cards(I closed them all already) my drivers license, my insurance card and my EAD card.. I’m most worried about them opening a bank account under my name but I’m unsure if they can. I’ve requested new drivers license and insurance card already.
From what’s in the wallet, am I in trouble? What should I do to prevent damage, would they be able to use my insurance or change anything in my insurance plan? Or my drivers license. If so how can I stop them? Does the EAD card make it easy for them to steal my identity? The address on my EAD card isn’t the same as my drivers license.
My SSN is not in the wallet.
Please help, completely panicking now, thank you 🙏
