r/Scams – I think someone may be trying to scam my dad

So my dad runs a company and someone hired him for his services. They sent him a check and said he sent him too much money. they told him to send him the extra and half of it to their realtor because they were going to pay the other half later.

I think it’s a scam what do you guys think?
